Hi there!

My name is Sydney, and I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker and Veterinary Social Worker. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and their families through all of life’s challenges, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and grief and loss.

I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Social Work and from the University of Tennessee with a Master of Science in Social Work with a Veterinary Social work certification.

In sessions, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Client-Centered Play Therapy, all through a trauma-informed lens.

I also work with a certified therapy dog, Gray! Gray is a 5-year-old rescue pup who LOVES people and belly rubs! Gray is there to help reduce stress and anxiety, improve communication, build trust, encourage physical activity, and provide comfort during times of distress.

Children have the hardest job in the world - learning who they are and how to express themselves. I am here to help them through that process by creating a warm, safe, and accepting environment where they can learn and play as the experts of their own lives.
